How Do You Create a Biometric Signature?
A biometric signature is a digital encryption of your voice, fingerprint, or other unalterable part of your body. Biometric signatures are most commonly used to keep computers safe, although they are occasionally found on doors and used for safes.

1
Find or install a biometric signature device. Many computers (such as the advanced IBM ThinkPad series) have one installed, but adapters (like the one pictured above) do exist, and are very popular. If you are using an adapter you will have to install drivers as well as a signature management program. However, these should come with your adapter. Once the proper software has been installed, restart your computer and continue.

2
Set your signature. The most common biometric signature device is a fingerprint device. Simply launch your biometric signature managing program and then follow the prompts. You will most likely need to hold your finger in a variety of positions for it to be set as your signature. If you are using voice signature, then you will probably have to repeat a certain password.

3
Test your signature. Before completely locking your contents, it is a good idea to test your signature, using your signature management program. Try locking something simple, like an empty folder, and then attempt to use your biometric signature to gain access. If you are unsuccessful, then you may want to try scanning it again, as you could accidentally lock yourself out of important content if your biometric signature has been improperly uploaded.

4
Lock your contents. If your biometric device was included with your computer, you should be able to access your security settings from a tool in your computer's control panel. If you have installed an adapter, you will only be able to lock specific objects (like folders and programs) with your Biometric Signature management program.
