How to Build a Lure Display Case
Do you have some fishing lures to display? What about antique Rapala lures or homemade fly-fishing flies.
A lure display case is a large box-shaped frame, often made from wood, with a glass covering that allows you to display your lures on your wall.
At sporting good shops, these cost $80 or more. Follow these steps to make your own for less than $20

Lay out your lures on a table as you would want them displayed. Measure the approximate dimensions--10" x 12" and 19" x 14" are common sizes. Also, if you have any "fat" lures, measure their depth.

Visit a crafts store such as Michael's or Hobby Lobby and find the "photo boxes" or "shadow boxes." Choose a photo box that matches the dimensions you measured in Step 1. Ensure that the box is least 2.5" or 3" deep. Additionally, purchase foam material or cork board and a piece of thin felt fo the backdrop. Choose a felt color that will match your lures and home. The foam/cork and felt should be the same length and width as your shadow/photo box. For instance, if you purchase a 10"x12" shadow box, ensure that you also purchase 10"x12" or larger pieces of foam/cork and felt.

Trim the foam/cork and felt to fit perfectly inside the shadow box.

Glue the foam board/cork to the back of the shadow box. Affix the piece of felt on top of the felt Let dry.

Attach the lures to the display case by pinning them through the felt to the foam/cork board.

Hang your display case on the wall as you would a picture frame.
