1
Go to a fabric store or big box store that sells fabric. Choose a fabric for your change purse that speaks to your own personal taste. Keep in mind that the heavier the fabric that you choose, the more change your purse will be able to withstand.
-
2
Measure out your fabric. Using your measuring tape measure and cut out a piece of fabric that is 9 inches by 7 inches. It will look a little big, but that is because you are going to have to fold it in half.

3
Turn your fabric inside out and fold it in half. Fold both sides inward 1/2 inch. Apply the fabric glue so that both of the sides are stuck together.
-
4
Add some extra glue down the crease on either side of your change purse and wait for the glue to dry before continuing. This extra glue down the crease will help to ensure that the sides don't open up unexpectedly.
-
5
Flip your change purse right-side out.
-
6
Cut a small piece of Velcro to fit across the top of your change purse. The Velcro has sticky backing. Just remove the sticky backing and apply one side of the Velcro to the inside front of the change purse and the other side of the Velcro to the inside back of the change purse. Make sure the two line up so that they will stick together when you close the purse.

Tips & Warnings
You can sew your fabric instead of using the glue. Use a Bedazzler to add jewels to your change purse. Look for remnants of fabric for a low-cost change purse.
