How to Remove Auto Glass Decals
When it's time to take the stickers off of the windshield, it may prove to be a more daunting task than one may think. Grabbing the sticker and pulling just isn't going to cut it. Underneath that sticker is a mess of adhesive residue that regular washing won't remove. Fortunately, with the proper materials, removing decals from auto glass is a very simple task.
Things You'll Need
- Razor blade Soft, clean cloth Denatured alcohol WD-40 Hair dryer Dish soap Peanut butter Paper towel

Scrape away as much of the decal as possible with a razor blade. Apply denatured alcohol to the leftover adhesive with a clean cloth or sponge, and use the razor blade again. Rinse the area with a clean cloth dampened with water.

Scrape the decal away with a razor blade. Spray any residual adhesive with WD-40, and scrape away the rest. Wipe the area clean with a clean cloth.

Remove the decal with a razor blade, and hold a hair dryer over the remaining adhesive to make it softer and easier to remove. Scrape away the remaining adhesive, and wipe the area clean with a clean cloth dampened with water.

Soak the area with soapy water. Allow it to sit for five minutes before taking a razor blade and scraping away the decal. Apply more soapy water as needed to keep the area damp. Rinse with clean water.

Peel as much of the decal off as possible. Apply enough peanut butter to area to cover the decal. Use a hair dryer and melt the peanut butter to the windshield. Allow at least 10 minutes for it to dry, and wipe the peanut butter and the adhesive away with a paper towel.

Tips & Warnings
Always scrape away from the body when using a razor blade.
Avoid using harsh chemicals that may damage the glass or the paint.
