Things You'll Need:
- Leather, or other desired material Leather or fabric glue Needle and strong dark thread Velcro or button snaps Dark writing utensil Scissors Pocket knife Detailing knives or gouges

Step 1
Lay your pocket knife on the material you have chosen. Leather is recommended. Trace a wide outline of the knife onto the leather. Keeping the knife in place, roll it over one time and trace the edges around that leather to make the opposite side of the pouch.

Cut out this outline 1/4 an inch around what you drew to have extra room for sewing or gluing. Cut out an additional 2 inch strip of fabric that you will attach as the top closure later.

Fold the leather into the shape of the pouch after it is completely cut out. Use the scissors to gouge out little ridges where the folds will be in order to make the pouch fold more naturally.

Step 4
Keep the pouch folded in place, and either sew or glue a narrow strip of the opposite side down to create the enclosure. This will be the pocket knife pouch. Sewing the pouch will give a more polished appearance. Use strong thread and short stitch work for this process.

Step 5
Glue or sew the additional thin strip of material onto the top of the pouch. Use the small Velcro or button attachments to have a secure top.

Step 6
Trim up any excess leather, threads or glue off of the pocket knife pouch. Use the detailing tools to create a design or initial on your pouch. Insert your knife into the pouch to make sure it securely fits and will not fall out.
