How to Create a Ghost Painting Craft with a Toddler

Clean your workspace and gather your materials. You will need a hard surface to place the paper on so that when your toddler steps on it you will get a solid footprint.

Place a piece of black finger paint paper on a hard surface. If you are concerned about getting paint on your floor or whatever hard surface you happen to be using, place a thin, old shirt or towel underneath and around the paper.

Clean the bottom of your toddler's foot using a wet wipe. There cannot be any dirt, hair or other debris on your toddler's foot because it will come off and transfer to the painting.

Spread white finger paint on the bottom of your toddler's foot. Carefully place her foot on the paper and make a footprint. This is the ghost for your Halloween painting. The toes are the bottom of the ghost and the heel is the head of the ghost.

Use your markers to fill in a mouth and/or eyes on your ghost. You and your toddler could also use other finger paints to create an interesting Halloween scene.
