How to Remove an Aluminum Frame Window Screen

Whether it needs to be replaced or just cleaned, sooner or later, you will need to remove your aluminum frame window screen. Follow these easy steps in order to do this.

Things You'll Need

• Aluminum window screen Access to interior Screwdriver (optional) Pliers (optional)

Instructions

1. Open the window the screen is on from the inside. Do not remove the screen from the outside.

2. Locate the clips or tabs that hold the screen to the window frame. There can be two to four of them on the inside of the screen.

3. Use the tabs to dislodge the window screen from the frame. Be gentle with the amount of force you use to remove the aluminum frame screen since the material is easily bent.

4. If the tabs are stuck, use either the screwdriver or the pliers to move them to dislodge the screen from the window frame.

5. Pick up the screen when it falls outside the window.
