How to Hook Up an NEC Projector to Your Laptop
If you're planning on giving a presentation, you may have decided that a portable NEC projector and laptop computer would make for an excellent setup. You can carry them easily and give dynamic, influential presentations both on the road and in the office. Turn off your laptop and projector. The laptop needs to be off to properly recognize the projector.

Plug the VGA cable (included with the projector) into your laptop's VGA output.

Plug the other end of the VGA cable into the projector's VGA port.

Connect the audio. If you wish to have audio sent to the projector for use in your presentation, run a cable from the headphone jack on your laptop to the mini-jack on the NEC projector.

Turn on the projector and laptop. You will now be able to project your laptop screen onto the desired surface.

Tips & Warnings
If the projector stops projecting images when left idle, it's most likely because your laptop went into screen-saver mode. Try to restore and restart if necessary.
