How to Remove Water Stains From Fabric

For almost every stain that gets on fabric, water is usually somewhere in the equation to fixing it. It becomes a bit puzzling when water is what is making the actual stain. As odd as it may seem in terms of how to clean, it isn't as tricky as one may think. There are several very easy methods for removing water stains from fabric.

Things You'll Need

• Kettle or pot Clean cloth Iron Borax Vinegar

Instructions

1. Dampen the entire stained area with water and allow it air dry.

2. Hold the stained area of fabric over steam from a boiling kettle or pot.

3. Dampen the stained area with water and iron the stain away if the fabric allows ironing. Read the manufacturer's label before proceeding.

4. Apply Borax to the stain and rub gently with a cloth. This works on seats in vehicles.

5. Rub the stain gently with a cloth dipped in vinegar. Rinse the stained area in cool water and allow it to dry.
