Instructions

    • 1

Gather together all of your recipes. Separate your recipe clippings and handwritten recipes from the letter-size recipes you printed from the Internet.

    • 2

Glue your recipe clippings from newspapers or magazines to index cards so that they have a firm backing. If you have handwritten recipes, transfer them to index cards. Write the name of the recipe on the top line, and then the ingredients and instructions underneath.

    • 3

Organize your recipes. Group them into different categories: Appetizers, Breads, Salads and Soups, Meat, Poultry, Vegetables, Seafood, Pasta, Desserts, Snacks, Holidays and Special Occasions.

    • 4

Insert your recipes into either the photo holders (for index card recipes) or the sheet protectors (for letter-size recipe printouts). Once all of your recipes are inserted, clip the photo holders and sheet protectors inside the binder.

    • 5

Write the names of the categories you created on the tab inserts that come with your binder dividers. Insert the labels into the tab holders, and place each binder divider into the corresponding section of your binder.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you use a binder that has a plastic sheet over the front, you can create your own custom cover for your recipe book on a computer. Simply insert the print-out under the plastic sheet.
