A personal Yahoo web page is a great way to communicate with friends, family or other people online. Creating a yahoo website does not require any specialized computer knowledge such as of HTML or CSS; instead the creation functions on click-and-type technology. You can customize the look and content of your website so that it reflects your personality or style.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet connection
  1. Step 1

Go to the Yahoo link in the Resources section. This is the site where you'll sign up for your website. If you already have a yahoo email account, you can choose to sign in. If you don't already have a yahoo account, simply choose sign up instead.

  2. Step 2

Choose "My Page" at the top of the page to begin to create your site. This is where you will begin to choose how you want your site to look.

  3. Step 3

Select a background theme. Your background theme will communicate your style to people that visit your page. Themes are based on colors, personal interests and hobbies, seasons and more. You can change your theme at any time, so experiment with what looks good to you. Click "Apply Theme" after you have made your selection.

  4. Step 4

Customize your page by creating a "blast." Simply click on edit and write a message to your website visitors. You can edit any of the other options in the same way. This will allow you to add a photo, write blog posts, or anything else simply by clicking edit.

  5. Step 5

Activate your "Simply URL" so that you can send the links to friends and increase visitors. Do this by clicking on "Settings" near the top of the page. Scroll down until you see the option to "activate simple URL" and check the circle. Remember to "apply settings" at the bottom of the page.

  6. Step 6

Send your simple URL to your friends so they can check your website.

Tips & Warnings
  • The more frequently you update your website, the more often people will visit. Also, remember to use correct spelling and grammar on your website to establish credibility with your audience.
