Being able to check your email on the go has become an essential task. Most PDAs, cell phones and Pocket PCs come with a hotmail account ready for you to type in and sync to your phone. With so many other email services out there, it is crucial to understand how to setup and sync your various email accounts, including Gmail, on your Pocket PC.

  • Pocket PC Internet

    Using Your Pocket PC to Check Gmail

  1. Step 1

    Open a web browser on a computer and log into your Gmail account. Click on "Settings" in the top right corner of the webpage. On the Settings screen, click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab. Under the POP section, make sure you have the "Enable POP for all mail" option selected.

  2. Step 2

    Click the Start button on your Pocket PC. Under the Start menu click the "Messaging" folder. In the Messaging folder click "Setup E-mail."

  3. Step 3

    Enter your Gmail email address. Tap next on the screen. Enter your name, Gmail user name and Gmail password and check save password. Tap next on the screen.

  4. Step 4

    Select "POP3" under account type. Type your name and Gmail for "Name" on the account information screen. Click finish.
