How to Make T-Mobile Ringtones

Purchasing ringtones for your T-Mobile cell phone could cost you $2.50 per ringtone. This can turn into quite an expense if you change the ringtone on your phone more than once a month. Instead, you may want to consider using a website that allows you to make T-Mobile ringtones. Making a T-Mobile ringtone gives you the option of turning any song that you have saved on your computer into a ringtone. Best of all, the T-Mobile ringtones that you make are free.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the the "Upload Music Files" link in the Resources section below. This will take you to the Myxer Web page where you can begin making your T-Mobile ringtone. You can skip the "Sign Up" step when using Myxer to make T-Mobile ringtones.

    • 2

Click the "Browse" tab that is located in the blue box in the middle of the page. Search for and then select the song you want to turn into a T-Mobile ringtone.

    • 3

Click "Customize" to access the ringtone editing Web page.

    • 4

Change the starting point of the T-Mobile ringtone. To do this, click on the gray rectangle that is found in the audio box near the top of the editing page.

    • 5

Choose how long you would like the T-Mobile ringtone to be by entering a numeric value in the text box labeled "Length." A standard ringtone can last anywhere between 10 and 30 seconds, based upon your personal preference.

    • 6

Enter your phone number in the last text box found at the very bottom of the editing screen. After you have done this, you will need to click the "Send To Phone" tab located directly next to the phone number box. Myxer will then send a link for the ringtone to your T-Mobile phone.

    • 7

Use the browser on your T-Mobile phone to open the link (see Resources). Select the "Download" link at the bottom of that page to download the created ringtone and then save it to your T-Mobile phone.

Tips & Warnings

  • Contact T-Mobile to learn about any fees that may be added to your cell phone bill due to Internet usage.

  • The Sidekick cannot receive any files from Myxer (or similar sites) as the manufacturer has blocked these types of files from being downloaded onto the phone.
