An MP3 is a compressed music file. MP3s are easy to store, collect and transfer among users and devices. MP3 music files are revolutionizing the way people collect and play their music because they're extremely versatile, easy to use and easily purchased online.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

When you double-click on an MP3 file, the preinstalled software on your computer should begin to play it. Almost every computer comes with software that will automatically play MP3 files, with no configuration necessary. If your MP3 files do not play, you will have to install the media software yourself.

  2. Step 2

Browse the Internet to find a free software program that fits your needs. Some free media players are Windows Media Player (from Microsoft), RealPlayer (from Rhapsody) and Winamp (from AOL). All provide similar functionality.

  3. Step 3

Download the free software and follow the installation instructions. Once the software is installed, simply double-click on any MP3 file and it will play.
