How to Install a New Flash Player for Windows XP

A Flash Player is a Rich Internet Application (RIA) used by Web developers, users, designers and Web masters to elevate Internet viewing and browsing experiences. A Flash Player makes all the montage of images, graphics and information on websites and portals a pleasurable viewing experience, and in general enhances the quality of audio/video playback. Adobe Flash Player is the most popular Flash Player downloaded by Internet users. Installing a new Flash Player on Windows XP is quite easy and involves only a few steps.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Navigate to Adobe's homepage (see Resources below) and click on "Downloads."

  2. Step 2

    Scroll down to the "Get Flash Player" link and click on it. You will be taken to the micro Adobe Flash Player homepage with an "Install Flash Player" message showing.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the "Agree and install now" button. A dialog box will pop up with the message "Do you want to install this software?"

  4. Step 4

    Click on the "Install" button. The installation process will take a few minutes based on your Internet connectivity speeds.

Tips & Warnings
  • Close all other Internet browser windows before installing a new Flash Player. Restart the computer to ensure that the installation process was successful.
