How to Unlock Accelerometer for Pocket PC

Almost all Pocket PC cell phones and PDA's have a new growing technology in them called an accelerometer. The accelerometer is convenient because it rotates some programs automatically when you turn the Pocket PC on its side. The accelerometer is optimal for viewing videos on your Pocket PC or for looking at an Internet browser on a wider screen. However, Pocket PCs limit the use of the accelerometer to only several applications on your phone. So follow these steps to be able to take advantage of the g-sensor accelerometer in your phone and have any application you want rotate with the way you hold the Pocket PC.

Instructions

1. Get the USB cord that came with your Pocket PC and plug it into your Pocket PC, and then plug the other end into your PC with an Internet connection.

2. Open a web browser on your computer and go to the "GSen" link I provided in the resources. Scroll down halfway on this screen and click "Download GSen program."

3. Open your Pocket PC memory file through the My Computer file on your PC. Drag the downloaded GSen program into the memory file on your Pocket PC.

4. Disconnect your Pocket PC from your PC. Click the Start menu on your Pocket PC and click on the file titled "File Explorer." Open this file and find the GSen program on your memory card. Double-click the GSen file and install the program. The GSen program unlocks the accelerometer on your Pocket PC, so the accelerometer will work with all applications. On the GSen program main screen, you can select which programs you want and don't want the accelerometer to be used on.
