Instructions

  1. Make a Nesting Bead Necklace

    • 1

Unwind at least 24 inches of bead wire. Do not cut the length of bead wire at this time.

    • 2

Place all three beads onto the beading wire and group them together in the middle of the beading wire.

    • 3

Cluster the three beads closely together. Wind the wire around the back side of the beads. This will create a small circle of wire behind the beads.

    • 4

Create a "bird's nest" around the beads by winding the wire around the sides of the beads. Continue wrapping the wire until the desired effect has been achieved. Take a little more wire off of the wire spool and cut the wire.

    • 5

Loop a section of wire over the created nest wires. This loop will cross over the wires perpendicularly and serves to secure the nest wires. Pull the wire taut and do the same thing four more times to create a total of five small loops of perpendicular wire. This will effectively secure the nest of beads.

    • 6

Cut a 1-inch piece of wire and loop this through one of the outer strands of wire from the nest. Create the clasp by bending this short piece of wire into a circle shape. Twist the wire tightly with the needle nose pliers to secure this clasp.

    • 7

Thread the chain into the created clasp to hang the nest from the chain.
