Things You'll Need:
- Bike Sheet of 3/4-inch plywood Tape measure Circular saw Drill with circle cutter attachment Two 4-foot-by-1/2-inch metal posts Hammer Six decorative bricks with holes
-
Step 1
Buy the plywood. If you cannot find 3/4 inch, you may substitute with 1/2, but your ramp will not be as sturdy.
-
Step 2
Measure and mark off a section of plywood no larger than 3 feet by 4 feet.
-
Step 3
Using a circular saw, cut along your marking.
-
Step 4
Using your drill with a 3/4-inch circle cutter attachment, drill two holes 3 inches from the top the plywood. The space between the holes should be 2 feet.
-
Step 5
Hammer two metal posts into the ground at least 2 feet deep and exactly 2 feet apart.
-
Step 6
Feed three bricks down each post so the edges are flush. Place the plywood on top, feeding it down the metal posts.
-
Step 7
Do several safety checks to ensure the ramp will not collapse under the weight of the bike.
