Things You'll Need:
- Dawn dish detergent
- bath tub
- Frontline plus
-
Step 1
The best way to deal with fleas is prevention. You can now by Frontline Plus at your local pet supply store. It is worth it's weight in gold! It is the most effective way to kill fleas on your animals and in their bedding areas. Frontline kills fleas at all stages of their lifecycle.
-
Step 2
If you end up with fleas the best solution is actually washing your animal with Dawn dish detergent. Dawn is the brand name, do not buy the bargain brand this time and trust me it is the only thing that kills them quickly and safely. My vet actually recommended this when we discovered my dog had an allergy to flea bites.
-
Step 3
Make sure you scrub your animal really well and rinse thoroughly. You will actually see the dead fleas in the tub. Nasty as it is at least you know the treatment was effective.
-
Step 4
After drying your animal apply Frontline if possible. It will help kill any living fleas around the house.
