Things You'll Need:
- Two envelopes Glue stick or adhesive Ribbon Recycled note card Scissors
-
Step 1
Supplies; P. Gaulin 2009Find two envelopes that are the same size. You can use any size envelopes, as long as they are larger than the note cards you want to store. Start with plain envelopes if you intend on decorating the holder. Or use colorful and decorative envelopes to save time.
-
Step 2
Cut the flap off one envelope; P. Gaulin 2009Open the flap of one envelope. Cut the flap off with a pair of scissors. Save the triangle paper scrap for a collage or another paper crafts project.
-
Step 3
Apply the glue; P. Gaulin 2009Open the flap on the second envelope. Turn the envelope so the pre-glued side of the flap is face down on the table. Apply glue or an adhesive to the outside of the flap, which is the side facing you.
-
Step 4
Slide it in; P. Gaulin 2009Open the first envelope by pinching the sides. Slide the flap with the wet glue into the first envelope, until the triangle flap is all the way inside the envelope. Press down gently to secure the glue. Use a cloth to remove any excess glue if you put too much on the flap.
-
Step 5
Place a ribbon or any type of decorative tie on the table. Set the holder on top of it. Fold the ribbon over the top of the holder, and bring both loose ends together. They should be even. Use glue to secure the ribbon to the front of the card.
-
Step 6
Inserting the cards; P. Gaulin 2009Cut out an image that matches the note cards you will be putting inside. Or cut out a picture from a recycled card. Glue that on top of the ribbon on the front. Stick note cards in one flap and envelopes in the other. Tie the ribbon in a loose bow.
