Netscape was bought out by AOL in 1998. Therefore, all Netscape email services have been absorbed by AOL's AIM mail service. Luckily, former Netscape customers have been able to keep their original email addresses, passwords, and all their emails and folder set-ups.
This article details the simple steps that AIM mail customers--including former Netscape email customers--need to take to access their email.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • AIM email account
  1. Step 1

Access the AOL-Netscape website at netscape.aol.com.

  2. Step 2

Click on the AOL Mail symbol on the upper right-hand side of the screen in the My Stuff section.

  3. Step 3

Check the "Inbox" folder on the upper right-hand of the side-navigation bar. If the Inbox is in bold and there is a number in parenthesis, you have new mail.

  4. Step 4

Click on the Inbox folder, and you will see both read and unread messages. Unread messages will appear in bold. Whatever message you want to read, just click the header, and it will open.
