Instructions

    • 1

Lay the bath towels side by side horizontally. Sew together to create one long piece.

    • 2

Fold over 1 ¼-inch at the top edge and stitch close to the edge to create a casing.

    • 3

Cut a piece of elastic to fit comfortably around the wearer at a point just above the bust line and under the arms.

    • 4

Attach a large safety pin to one end of the elastic and work it through the casing to pull the elastic through. When the trailing edge of the elastic is 10 inches from the entry point, catch it with a straight pin and stitch in place. Continue pulling elastic through to gather, stopping 10 inches from opposite end. Catch and stitch this end in place.

    • 5

Overlap the two 10-inch sections that are not gathered. Sew Velcro fastener dots at the points where the elastic is stitched down to hold the overlapped area in place.
