How to Attach a Winzip File to an Email

Attaching a Winzip file to an e-mail is exactly the same as attaching any file to an e-mail. Files that are condensed into Winzip files are typically smaller than the original. This is very helpful when some e-mail utilities do not allow you to send or receive very large files.

Instructions

Attach a Winzip File to an Email

1. Locate the Winzip file you wish to attach and take a note of where it is on your computer.

2. Open your email client of choice (Outlook, Gmail, etc.)

3. Compose an email and address it.

4. Click on the link, button or paper clip icon, depending on your email client, that says "Attach File."

5. Browse to the Winzip file you located in step 1.

6. Choose the file and click on "Open." The Winzip file will attach to the email.

7. Send your email with the document. The recipient will receive the email and the attached file.
