How to Make Custom Guitar Hero Songs for the Xbox 360
To create custom Guitar Hero songs for your Xbox 360, you will need a copy of Guitar Hero World Tour, which introduced recording tools to the game series. This now allows players to cut their own tracks, edit them and upload them onto Xbox Live where other users can listen to and download the songs.

1
Flip to the Music Studio heading on the title screen with your controller.
-
2
Head into the Recording Studio. Here you can fool around and jam with your instruments. You can record the jam and then go back and listen to the track. You can also record a second track on top of the existing track. Once you have recorded a track you like, save your progress.

Go to GH Mix. Here you can edit the jams you created or even build songs from scratch. The editor allows you to move notes around, label each section, copy and paste choruses and add tracks with the live record tool. You can use all of these functions with any of the instruments in the game, including guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. The game offers a number of tutorials to help you in the process.

4
Name your song and save it.

5
Upload your creation to GH Tunes. This gives you the chance to showcase your creation with the Xbox Live community. Other users will be able to try out your tracks on their own game. In addition, you can download the songs they have created and not only play them, but also edit them in your studio to your own preferences.
