Homemade Gag Gifts

Homemade gag gifts can be created without spending hardly any money and still deliver a big laugh. Homemade gag gifts are easily made from simple things that you may already have around your house or can be bought for almost nothing. The next steps will explain how to make your very own homemade gag gifts.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Initially you really need to put some thought into the idea and think about the person you are making the homemade gag gift for. Don't rush into anything, if you don't take time to consider that your gift is appropriate for the person's sense of humor you might offend them.

  2. Step 2

Try to come up with things that the person might be slightly embarrassed about, but not enough to the point where they would be upset. For the best homemade gag gifts this should be something that they will laugh at themselves about. Some examples are old age, crazy style, unusual habits or quirks, and other things like that.

  3. Step 3

Once you come up with an idea make a list of objects or things that would accentuate it. For example, if someone is about to celebrate a birthday and isn't happy about being old you could get a cane or some dentures and then personalize them with their name on them or some other type of personal touch.

  4. Step 4

After you have your homemade gag gifts made, make sure to wrap them in a way that conceals what they actually are because this will add to the element of surprise and increase the laughs you will get out of it. Again, if you have something like a cane you want to make sure that you get a long box so the person won't be able to tell what it is instead of just wrapping it so someone could see it's form.
