This will give you super easy instructions on how to capture a screen shot. It's great for creating a new background for your desktop, or capturing an awesome internet milestone!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • functioning keyboard
  • any photo editing software
  1. Step 1

When you have the website or images you want captured, press the PRTSC button. This is the PrintScreen button, found near the top of your keyboard. It will appear that nothing has happened, but it has actually copied the image to your clipboard.

  2. Step 2

Open your photo editing software. Common ones include Photoshop, Paint, Paint.net, Picasa, and Gimp, among others. Once your software is opened, either click the clipboard icon or click paste from the menu selection to paste your screen shot.

  3. Step 3

From here, you can do any editing, such as cropping, then save it or print it. Once saved, it can be used like any other image or picture you already use on your computer. You can even upload it to share on Google or Photobucket.

Tips & Warnings
  • When you use a Screen Capture, it will copy everything on your screen, including the titles of any other tabs or windows you may have open. If it's not something you want everyone to see, be sure you crop it or edit it out.
