-
Step 1
Set your feet as you would for an ollie or a grind (check out our Related eHows).
-
Step 2
Ride parallel to the object you want to slide on with the same speed as you would for a grind.
-
Step 3
Ollie and start to turn as you would for a backside 180.
-
Step 4
Aim the nose of your board toward the top of the object you want to slide, and push toward it with your front foot.
-
Step 5
Lean into the object once the nose and front wheels make contact with the edge of it, putting as much weight as possible on the nose of the board.
-
Step 6
Take the weight off your back foot when you have leveled out on the object, and nearly stand on the toes of your rear foot.
-
Step 7
Keep your head facing the direction you are sliding - when you want to come off, all you have to do is turn your shoulders and hips to catch up with it.
-
Step 8
Expect your feet to pivot back into place naturally as you drop off the object.

on 11/22/2005 When you ollie into the slide contact the curb at a slight angle not exactly 90 degrees. This promotes a slide.
