Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Run A Legal Home DaycareThe first thing to do is call or visit your local Department of Social Services office and sign up for the mandatory class or classes necessary to run a legal home daycare.
-
Step 2
From there, depending on what state you live in, you must fill out all the necessary paperwork along with getting fingerprinted by SLED. Operating a home daycare requires a thorough background check of everyone including yourself that lives inside the home over a specific age. No felonies are allowed.
-
Step 3
Have a Nice Spot For PlayThird, choose where in your home you will care for the children. Most home daycare don't use the entire home, but only the front or they have converted a garage into a huge room. Whatever the case may be, after all the other fairly simple previous steps are completed, you can put a cherry on top of your home daycare with a name.
-
Step 4
Finally, after about 30 to 90 days, the Department of Social Services will issue you your very own registration number which is necessary for you to legally promote your home daycare. This number states to the public that you are on file with DSS, and you have gone through what is needed to pass all inspection of yourself and home (if required). With this registration number, you are officially open for business.

on 3/29/2009 godinluc- that's really interesting, but I think it's wrong of you to join eHow just so you can leave the same comment on every single article written about toys, just to advertise your discovery toys business. Please write your own articles instead of spamming.
