Country style ribs are cut from the end of the pork loin near the ribs, giving a very meaty and usually boneless variety of ribs. Perfect for a laid back summer barbecue, yet dressy enough for a romantic dinner for two, these BBQ ribs are guaranteed to please. Here's how to cook the perfect country style BBQ ribs!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Place a large stock pot on a stove, fill with water and turn on medium high heat. Add about a tsp of lemon pepper seasoning, a tsp of Old Bay, and a dash or two of garlic powder. Stir well.

  2. Step 2

Add ribs, and bring water to a boil. When water reaches a boil, turn heat down and let ribs simmer up to an hour and a half. The longer you let the BBQ ribs simmer, the more tender your ribs will be. I recommend going no less than a half hour of simmering.

  3. Step 3

If finishing ribs on a grill, brush on a layer of BBQ sauce, and place over medium heat, turning frequently, for about 15 minutes. BBQ ribs can also be finished in the oven, place BBQ ribs in an oven safe dish and cover lightly with BBQ sauce. Cover, and bake at 350 for a half hour, uncover and let brown slightly for a few more minutes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use care to avoid flare ups cooking BBQ ribs on the grill, as it is a fatty meat. You may want to lay down a layer of foil underneath to prevent this, or have a water bottle nearby.
