Many college students have to turn in a lot of papers regularly. Quite a few of those papers must be typed as well or they won't be accepted.
Not every college student wants to type their own papers though, and some them just aren't very good at typing. The way to overcome this obstacle for many of them is to pay someone else to do the typing job for them.

Another idea to get home typing jobs is to visit local office complexes in your area as well. You could just visit all of the business offices within a short distance of your home for instance, or choose doctor's offices, or visit them all.
You also might want to create some business cards, brochures or flyers, and make sure to take a big stack of those to the offices with you while visiting. Introduce yourself to the person in charge of the business and leave one or your brochures or cards, so when the business is backlogged with typing work they could get in touch with you and call for your help.
