If your little Rembrandt has messed up a wood piece of furniture. Do not paint over it yet!!!

This is a very easy process that will most likely have your table looking like new.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Toothpaste - I like to use white especially on light wood but any color is fine as long as it is not gel.
  • Soft Cloth
  1. Step 1
    Dab of Toothpaste

    Dab of Toothpaste

Cover your index finger with the soft cloth. Squeeze a small amount of the toothpaste about 1/2 the size of a pea on your index finger.

  2. Step 2

GENTLY scrub the stained area with the grain of the table. Leave the paste on the stain for about 2 minutes and allow the toothpaste to sink into the stain.

  3. Step 3

After you have allowed this to sit for a few minutes take a clean part of your cloth and GENTLY scrub with the grain again. Make sure not to press to hard as this will make a shinny spot on the surface.

  4. Step 4

Continue all of these steps until the spot is removed. Clean the wood in the manufactures recommended fashion and treat the wood.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to be very gentle when rubbing the stain out and follow the grain.
  • Do not rub in circles.
  • I am not an expert in wood working so if you are worried about ruining the surface of your finish, contact your manufacturer.
  • If you are working on light colored wood, I would recommend using a white toothpaste as the color could alter the light wood.
