Peace and Serenity

I was in my yoga class today and the intention our teacher told us is to find peace and serenity in our daily lives. It was a great session! I truly feel so blessed to have what I have in my life right now.

I decided to write this article with the intention of sharing some of my thoughts of how to find peace and serenity in simple ways that we can integrate in our busy daily schedules. There is always time to slow down and find beauty from within. This article is for everybody - young or old alike.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

PRAYER – Yes, we may have different beliefs but talking to this POWERFUL BEING ABOVE works a lot of wonder. The power of prayer should not be under estimated. It is when you cease the world and share all your thoughts to HIM. When we pray honestly and passionately, according to HIS will, we will get HIS powerful response!

  2. Step 2

LAUGHTER – “Laughter is the Best Medicine”, we heard this expression often. But did you ever laugh today? Hmmm…. I wonder. Well, lots of researchers indicated that laughter is good for your heart and it actually relieves stress. Try laughing more – brings a lot of peace in your soul and it’s FREE y’know.

  3. Step 3

YOGA – I suggested yoga to my friends because the benefit of doing the practice is endless. The major advantage of yoga is its physical and mental therapy. When you practice yoga, you become more aware of all your senses. Gradually this awareness leads to an understanding of the more subtle aspects of life. Make yoga a part of your weekly routine. You don’t need to be young and flexible - all that is needed, is a desire to learn and be happy.

  4. Step 4
meditation to find peace and serenity

MEDITATION - is one of the Five Principles of Yoga. I am still learning the techniques of this practice, so I can’t really say much but I strongly believe that this will help us accomplish a greater sense of purpose of our life. My yoga class includes 5 to10 minutes meditation – sometimes it’s enough for me and sometimes I meditate longer. You don’t need to meditate everyday to find peace but being mindful each day makes a big difference.

  5. Step 5

BE THANKFUL – Wake up each day and be thankful. Take a moment to feel grateful that you are alive, that you are breathing, that you were given yet another day and for everything that you have – family, friends, good health, wealth etc. It’s a wonderful world and LIFE is how you make it!

  6. Step 6

RELAX - "Life Is What Happens When You're Busy Making Other Plans..."

Tips & Warnings
  • Forgiveness
  • Listen to Music
  • Walk in the park
  • Play ... it feels great to be a child again:)
