So you’re hunting for a kallah gown but you don’t know which style to choose. Not to worry; below are some styles that will flatter your figure.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Empire Waist Kallah Gown: Perfect if you’re small on top and fuller at the bottom. This style gown is fitted right under the bust and then falls loose in a straight silhouette. It emphasizes the bust and de-emphasizes the belly and hips.

  2. Step 2

Mermaid Kallah Gown: Great if you’re super slim throughout. This style is fitted from the top all the way to knees where it flairs out to the floor. It can be very flattering on a slim person; however it can also be very unflattering on a person with wide hips. Can be restricting if you’re planning on dancing a lot.

  3. Step 3
    A-Line Kallah Gown

    A-Line Kallah Gown

A-Line Kallah Gown: Looks great on most figures. This type of gown is fitted on the bodice and flairs out close to the natural waistline. Great if you have full hips and/or large midsection. A-line styles can range from light fullness to extreme fullness which brings us to the next style.

  4. Step 4
    Ball Gown Kallah Gown

Ball Gown Kallah Gown: Also looks great on most figures. This style is fitted on the bodice and the skirt flairs up and out to the floor with lots of crinoline underneath. This style will hide just about any imperfection.

  5. Step 5
    FIt and Flair Kallah Gown

Fit & Flair Kallah Gown: In between a Mermaid and an A-Line. This style is fitted throughout the top and falls straight from the hip down to the knee where it flairs out to the floor. Good if you’re slim throughout.

  6. Step 6

Sheath Style Kallah Gown: This style is fitted throughout from the top all the way to the floor. It has a pretty straight style that can flatter a small frame.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep an open mind. Many times, you have a gown in mind that you’ve seen in a picture and you tend to gravitate towards that one style, until you realize that the style you’ve been dreaming about isn’t what’s going to be flattering. Try to keep an open mind when looking through gowns. Sometimes, certain features about the gowns can be changed.
