Online dating has become the latest rage. Bringing together two people to date and seeing if they are compatible with one another based on a computer introduction isn't what people thought of 100 years ago but it works. Whatever your reasoning behind getting an account on an online dating site: too busy, don't like the bar scene, or even interested in seeing what's out there, it is only a matter of time to find your perfect relationship. Here's how to decide on the perfect online dating site.

    Consider how much money you want to spend online dating. This will also decide how serious you are about using the service. Most sites do require some sort of monthly fee to use all the services of the online dating website.

  2. Step 2

    Know what you want out of the online dating sites. Some will say true love while others might be interested in having some fun. While either is a possibility for online dating sites, you need to know yourself so you won't be hurt from the experience.

  3. Step 3

    Consider how you feel about meeting strangers online. As the bigger online dating sites like Match.com and Eharmony strive to bring together people of like minds, your profile will be shown to thousands of people who are looking for the same thing you are: true love.

  4. Step 4

    Decide on a local site or a bigger online dating site. The bigger sites like match.com and eharmony.com provide a venue for the masses. This can be a very successful place for you however if you are looking for something a little less intimidating perhaps a local online dating site would be better. The little sites tend to not only just have online presence but they also have local get together and bring locals to a more intimate setting. Some folks prefer this and others don't
