Becoming an amazon associate is an easy way to make cash by doing what you do already. Basically, an amazon associate helps to direct potential buyers to amazons webpage at www.amazon.com. This is usually done by including links to various products from your webpage or blog. People then click the links from your webpage and can purchase an item. If they do you can earn up to 15% of their purchase price as a referral fee.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A website or blog.
  1. Step 1

First you will need to have a website or blog. It is much more likely to be successful if you add amazon associate links to an existing blog, as opposed to creating a blog or website for the sole purpose of being an amazon associate because no one wants to read a advertisement. Rather take a regular webpage or blog and look at the subject of each page or entry and think of appropriate products that relate to what you are talking about.

  2. Step 2

Sign up to be an Amazon Associate. I have in included the link at the bottom of the page. Make sure you fill out the forms completely and correctly otherwise your payments may not be accurate or could be delayed. If you already have an Amazon purchasing account you can use the same information to sign in and create an associate account.

  3. Step 3

Now on your website go through and place links to relevant product listings on amazon. If your blog entry is about soccer you may want to link to books about soccer, a video of a soccer game, or soccer equiptment. Don't create links to unrelated things. If your reader is on a website about gardening, they probably arent interested in a link for tennis rackets.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep track of what kinds of links and topics actually end up creating profit for you, and write about topic like this more often.
  • Make sure that the ads are an addition to your page, not the main content or purpose. Otherwise you will drive off your readers.
