Things You'll Need:
- Baking Soda
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-
Step 1
CleansersI've tried every facial cleanser for sensitive skin on the market. If it's foaming, clear, white, yellow, liquid or bar I've tried it, even ones my dermatologist recommended for serious skin care. I've come to one conclusion and that is that just because the company pays the dermatologist to endorse it doesn't mean it works. I've also learned that some cleansers work just fine on some people and not others, everyone has different degrees of sensitive skin.

Step 2
Now baking soda is the king of cleansers but it acts as an exfoliator and if used every day will make super sensitive skin peel right off. However, it is the only product I have found that will get off those little bumps on your face and neck that feel like the combination of new pimples and dirt. It is a fabulous all around cleanser but it shouldn't be used more than 2 or 3 times in a week depending on how sensitive your skin it.
-
Step 3
To use baking soda as a facial cleanser, simply make a mixture of baking soda and water that is slightly more watery than toothpaste. You won't need more than a few teaspoons. Gradually add the water in little by little until you get the consistency you want. Use your ring finger and pinky finger to rub your face as they have the least amount of strength. Be aware of how sensitive your skin is, you only have to rub it for a minute, you want to avoid hurting your face.
-
Step 4
Rinse off your face and pat it dry with a towel. Once your face is dry put on any medications you might have. After your medications are dry apply extra virgin olive oil as if it were lotion. Give it a few minutes to absorb before applying make-up.
-
Step 5
On days that you don't use baking soda as a cleanser use a gentle cleanser in its place. It's okay if it dries out your skin at first, the olive oil will quench it. After a few days your skin tone will even out and your skin will feel silky.
