Every year we should strive to give our fathers the perfect fathers day gift. After all they work all year to take care of their family and we only have this one-day for them.

Step 1

The first fathers day gift is time. Let dad choose how the day is spent. Let them sleep in, golf or play poker. Whatever they want they can have it. Truth is that most dads just want a day to relax and do what they want to do. For some they would prefer to spend fathers day playing video games. So let them.
Step 2

Think of what would make them happy on your budget. If your dad likes airplanes or collects models get them a model airplane. If they like cars and you can afford it get them a day racing racecars. Get tickets to your local comedy club and take dad out. Or get tickets to a concert that is in town. Just be specific to your fathers or husbands taste.
Step 3

You don’t have to be extravagant to give him a good fathers day gift. Some of the best gifts are home made. Get the kids together and make fathers day cards and gifts as a family. You can laminate photos of dad to cards or just draw a picture and tell him why he is the best dad in the world. You can also order mugs with pictures and have them say best dad. Make him his favorite meal. Ask dad what his favorite dinner is and cook that for him for fathers day.
