If you are interested in getting a volleyball scholarship to play in college, then Universityathlete.com is one of the main tools you should use. It is not a recruiting service, it is a way to communicate with college coaches to help you find the program that suits your needs. Here is what UA can do for you-

        NCAA Volleyball

More than 750 college coaches at all NCAA and NAIA levels use Universityathlete.com to find out about female volleyball prospects. The website can be downloaded to scouts' PDA's so they can instantly find you at club tournaments. The best aspect of UA is that it is free to use for your main needs.

Since you know many college coaches look at UA, you can create a personal profile, including your picture, so they know who you are and what position you play. You can include High School and club stats, any honors you have won, grades and test scores, your personal contact information, and your coaches contact info.

        Penn State Volleyball

For a $40 annual fee, you get more enhanced capabilities on UA. That includes access to a database of most of the college volleyball programs in the United States. All of the listings include basic data about the school, such as number of students, location, contact info and links to the school's main website, as well as a link directly to the volleyball program. There is also a "Needs List" where college coaches list what positions they are looking to recruit by High School graduation year. You can search by state or by position to see where you might be interested in playing, and who needs your skills.

Once you find colleges that interest you, you can add them to a favorites list on the website. Then, when you are going to a tournament, you can send a bulk email to all the coaches on your list to tell them you'll be there. This is a great feature to help you stay in contact with programs you like.

One of the best features of UA is that you can upload about 5 minutes of video clips, so coaches can see you play, even if they can't make it to your tournaments. You can log in at any time and add video clips or update your profile information.
