There is no greater way to show your support for our soldiers fighting in foreign wars than sending them something he/she needs. One current problem that is becoming widespread among our troops is the problem of not having basic essentials like toothpaste , deodorant , foot powder , shaving razors , etc . etc . Soldiers have places to buy to these items ( referred to as a PX ) but the problem is that the "PX" is often sold out . So that is where you come in . If you would like to help a soldier out with basic essential supplies , simply follow the steps below.

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet
  • A soldiers mailing address
  • Toiletries /supplies
  • Postage
  1. Step 1

    For your first step you will need to locate a soldier's mailing addres . Utilizing free civilian to soldier penpal websites such as penpalsforsoldiers dot org or anysoldier dot com (check resources below) will get you connected with a soldier.

  2. Step 2

    Now that you have a servicemans mailing address, you will need to know what to send , here is a list of the most requested items by a soldier:

    Toiletries
    1. Deodorant
    2. Toothpaste
    3. Eye Drops
    4. Foot Powder
    5. Shaving razors ( disposable
    6. Nail Clippers
    7. Q-Tips
    8. Female Hygiene products
    9. Tylenol (Individual packets)
    10. Nasal Spray

    Foods
    1. Sugar Packets
    2. Candy (Heat resistant)
    3. Beef Jerky
    4. Protein Bars
    5. Granola Bars
    6. Tuna Kits
    7. Gum

    Other items
    1. CDs
    2. Tapes
    3. DVDs
    4. Prepaid Phone Cards
    5.Board games
    6. Playing Cards
    7.books
    8. Magazines

  3. Step 3

    Now that you have gotten everything together that you want to send out , address your package and send it out. If you wrote a letter , don't worry about including return postage . Servicemen can send back a response to your letter / package free of charge.
