Hand-washing your clothing is not so hard. Yes, it is tiring, yet some clothing just has to be washed this way. So, here is what you do.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A big bucket (optional)
  • a bath tub or sink (either are optional)
  • laundry detergent
  • fabric softener
  • water
  • bleach (if hand-washing white clothing)
  1. Step 1

Step 1: Take a big bucket, or this can be done in your bathroom sink or bath tub, and fill it with warm water.

  2. Step 2

Step 2: Pour half a cup of laundry detergent into the bucket of water, or wherever you filled water to wash the clothing.

  3. Step 3

Step 3: If washing white clothing add a very small amount of bleach, because bleach can burn your skin if too much is applied and your working with it for too long, so be careful with that.

  4. Step 4

Step 4: Next, pour a small cup of fabric softener into the water.

  5. Step 5

Step 5: Then, put the clothes you need to wash into the bucket, and spin the clothing in the bucket. Remember, do this carefully or else you might get all the contents in and along with the water spilled on the surface on which your doing this.

  6. Step 6

Step 6: After about a minute of spinning the clothing in the bucket, roll each one at a time, and drain them all, soaking all the soapy water out of the clothing.

  7. Step 7

Step 7: Then, rub the clothing against itself, which will help to remove stains and dirt off the clothing, for about a minute to two minutes.

  8. Step 8

Step 8: Next, rinse out the clothing by pouring clean warm water on it, and doing it over and over about four times.

  9. Step 9

Step 9: Then, drain the clothes, so that the water wont drip all over the place.

  10. Step 10

Step 10: And, at last, hang the clothes somewhere, outside if possible, if not that is fine, where they can dry, and your all done.

Tips & Warnings
  • This will take a while to do, so make sure to have a bit of spare time before starting.
  • Do this with care, and only if you are willing to take some pain. It can be a very difficult and painful task.
