Boxes, boxes, boxes!!!
Boxes, boxes, boxes!!!

Are you trying to sell fast? Here are a few tips to help you in your quest for a buyer.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cleaning supplies
  • Patience
  • Money in reserve
  • Boxes
  • Packing tape
  • Mover, if necessary
  1. Step 1

Clean your floors - shampoo your carpets, wash floors, and redo grout lines, if needed.

  2. Step 2

Wash down base boards and walls - repaint if necessary. Hire a painter to help for large jobs if time is critical.

  3. Step 3

Find and list with a realtor. Find a realtor that will give you sound advice - not just someone out for a paycheck. That can make or break a deal.

  4. Step 4

Buy a book on staging your home. Keep in mind the shapes of objects, not just the color schemes. For instance, if you have a fireplace that is square, find a round object to contrast it. Place two objects on one end and one object on the other to offset your design and overall composition.

  5. Step 5

Add color - add live and silk plants inside and out. Even if your house is empty - this can help give personality without making it impossible for buyers to see their stuff in the home.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider leasing
  • Beware of scam artists
  • Houses are selling on several markets - even in slow times - know your market!!!
