Things You'll Need:
- Baking Soda
- Vinegar
- Lemon
- Kosher Salt
- Ketchup
- Water
- Vegetable Oil

Step 1
* Baking Soda and Water:
Can be used for Counter Tops, Stainless Steel Sinks, Cutting Boards, Containers, Refrigerators and Oven Tops
Sprinkle baking soda then scrub with a damp cloth. If you have stains, knead the baking soda and water into a paste and let set for 10 mins before you remove. -
Step 2
* Lemon:
Glass Table Tops- Rub a little lemon juice on the top, then dry with papertowel.
Counter Tops/Cutting Boards- Rub with lemon juice let sit for a couple minutes (a couple hours if stain is really bad) and wipe clean.
Microwave- Put half a lemon in a three quarters full bowl of cold water and cook on high in microwave for 3 minutes. The condensation from the steam loosens dirt and makes it easy to wipe down, also smells good.
Furniture Polish- Mix a teaspoon of lemon juice with a glass of vegetable oil. -
Step 3
* Vinegar:
Counter Tops- Fill a spray bottle with equal parts white vinegar and distilled water, add a squeze of lemon juice to temper the vinegar smell.
Dishwasher- Fill a cup with white vinegar and place it on the top rack of dishwasher, run the dishwasher with nothing else in it. This will remove soap film and deodorize.
Windows- mix 2 tablespoons of white vinegar with a gallon of water and dispense into a used spray bottle. Spray on window then scrub with newspaper. -
Step 4
* Kosher Salt and Water:
For Sinks and Cast Iron Pans- sprinkle on salt and scrub with wet cloth. -
Step 5
* Ketchup:
For Copper pots- dab ketchup onto dirty areas and let sit ofr 15 mins before rinsing off, and they will once again shine.

on 2/24/2009 I love these cleaning tips. They all seem so natural ... I hate chemicals. After I clean my kitchen my hands take a beating.
