Budget Disneyland vacations are on everyone's mind. If you're planning a trip in the near future, you may need a bit of help in the finance department. If you dream of taking your family to the land of Mickey Mouse, perhaps that dream could become reality if you knew how to save a lot of money in the process. This article explains what you can do to save money and create budget Disneyland vacations.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  1. Step 1

Plan budget Disneyland vacations during the months of September, October, November, February, April, or May. These months always have the lowest airfare and hotel room cost.

  2. Step 2

Forget booking your budget Disneyland vacations in a package. Although it will take just a little more finagling, book each item separately to save more money. Hotel, airfare, tickets, and car rental are all cheaper if bought separately.

  3. Step 3

Schedule your airline tickets 1 or 2 months ahead of time. Unless you are traveling during a super busy time of the year, at about the 6 week mark, tickets are as low as they're going to get. When you want budget Disneyland vacations, discounts on airfare make a big difference.

  4. Step 4

Try to plan the budget Disneyland vacations during someone's birthday. If you, your spouse, or your children have a birthday when you travel, they will get a free gift. In 2009, that gift is a free ticket to the Magic Kingdom.

  5. Step 5

Plan your food ahead of time. Make sure your hotel has a refrigerator to hold things like milk, cheese, lunch meat, or vegetables. Then, pack crackers, granola bars, pudding snacks, and anything else that doesn't need to be kept cool. The less you eat out, the more you save. In fact, budget Disneyland vacations never include the dining plans offered through package deals.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can buy park hopper tickets that allow you to travel between all the Disney attractions during 1 day. These are much more expensive, however, and each park takes at least 1 day to complete alone.
