How to change your web browsers' home page (Windows XP)

Today we are going to talk about changing/create a home page for your web browser. A home page is a website page that will appear every time you open your web browser. This is a very quick and easy process and can be accomplished in seconds.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1
     

    Look down to the Windows Taskbar. Look for the start button located at the very bottom-left of your desktop; click.

  2. Step 2
     

    Scroll through your quick menu and find “Control Panels”. This should be on the right side of your menu located under “My Computer”. Once you find “Control Panels”; click.

  3. Step 3
     

    A new window will open. Find the link that reads “Network and Internet Connections”; click.

  4. Step 4
     

    A new screen will appear with options. Look for a link that reads “Internet Options” and click it. This will open a new window.

  5. Step 5
     

    Look toward the top of the page once in the “Internet Option Window”. You are going to see a big text box that reads “To create home page tabs, type each address on its own line. Erase the current address, if any, and type the address of the web page you would like to use as your home page.

  6. Step 6
     

    Once finished, click “Ok” at the bottom of the window and exit out of the “Internet Option” window.
