Step 1
The method of configuring torrent encryption will vary depending on your torrent client. We will look at some of the more popular torrent clients. Follow the instructions for the client you use. If your client is not listed, check your options or preferences section. This is where advanced options, such as encryption, are usually configured.

Step 2
Encrypt Torrent in BitTorrentBitTorrent or uTorrent
Go to "Options" -> "Preferences"
Select "BitTorrent" from the left hand pane. Under Protocol Encryption, select "Enabled". Check "allow incoming legacy connections" so any torrents you are currently downloading will complete even if encryption is not setup. Apply. -
Step 3
Encrypt Torrent in VuzeVuze (the client previously known as Azureus)
In order to enable the encryption option in Vuze, you must first set your mode to "Intermediate" or "Advanced". Go to Tools->Options->Mode. Set your mode from beginner to advanced and Apply. Next, expand the "Connections" section and select "Transport Encryption". Check "Require Encrypted Transport". -
Step 4
Encrypt Torrent in BitCometBitComet
Go to Options->Task->BT Task
Change the drop-down menu next to Protocol Encryption from Auto-detect to Always. Apply.
