Things You'll Need:
- Time
- Patience
- Desire
- Empathy
- Caring Attitude
-
Step 1
Know and understand the needs of your client. Everyone is different, and requires a different type of care. Just because you have a system that works for you, doesn't mean it is appropriate for your client. They are not there to make your life easier, you're there to make their life easier.
-
Step 2
Be on time and always with a smile on your face. You're there to give and show care. Your personal life and baggage should be left at the door. Once you enter your clients residence, you are joining their journey, and temporarily leaving yours behind.
-
Step 3
Give personal care in a manner that is appropriate for your clients needs. Let them do what they can do comfortably, and assist them with what they can't do comfortably. Remember - Their needs are the priority of which all the care is given.
