How to Make Angel Hair Pasta with Fresh Tomato and Garlic

Tomatoes and pasta are so good together. The combination is a favorite of mine, and it can creatively be made with the addition of other ingredients. When working in the kitchen, I’ve found that simple is sometimes better and less work. I like that combination, too. The recipe below is a recipe that’s big on flavor, healthy, and quick to prepare. I make it when I’m in the mood for that fresh tomato flavor and would rather skip the fuss. Follow these steps to make this pasta dish that includes fresh tomato, garlic, and a few other delicious ingredients.

Things You'll Need:

  • A large saucepan
  • ¼ pound of angel hair pasta, cooked
  • 1 large ripe tomato, copped into small pieces
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 large cloves of garlic, sliced thin
  • 2 fresh basil leaves, sliced thin
  • Parmesan cheese (optional
  1. Step 1

    Pour a small amount of extra-virgin olive oil in saucepan and heat over a low-medium flame for 30 seconds.

  2. Step 2

    Sauté sliced garlic in pan.

  3. Step 3

    Add tomato pieces to the pan and continue to sauté until tomato pieces are almost soft.

  4. Step 4

    Add the sliced basil leaves and continue the cooking process until the tomato pieces can easily be smashed with a fork.

  5. Step 5

    Add the angel hair pasta to the saucepan and mix everything together well.

  6. Step 6

    Turn off flame and put angel hair pasta dish on a flat plate.

  7. Step 7

    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired and enjoy.
