If you have a school binder with a clear sleeve, then consider decorating it to make it stand out from everyone else's binder.

Yes, you could do pictures of your friends and magazine cutouts, but how about making your binder really stand out by decorating it based on one of your favorite colors?

Here is a guide to decorating your binder based on your favorite color.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Binder or Notebook that needs to be decorated
  • Sheet of paper (or the front of your notebook)
  • Things of that color that you can find
  • Foam tape, glue, or your preference of adhesive
  1. Step 1

Decide on what color you will choose to display on your binder. Let's say your favorite color is green.

  2. Step 2

Start collecting things that are green. Basing your binder decorations on a color allows you to express that color in its vast spectrum of hues.

There are so many different shades of any one color that to make a color collage of it would be very appealing to the eye.

  3. Step 3

Look around your house (leaves, dollar bills, ribbons, fabric, etc...) and look through old magazines and even junk mail (shiny avocados in the grocery advertisements, etc...)

  4. Step 4

Now take all of your green things and get a blank sheet of paper - it would be great if the paper was a contrasting color, say black or silver.

  5. Step 5

Now start gluing or taping the flat pieces to the paper. Keep some 3-d or bold items aside.

  6. Step 6

Using your double-sided foam tape, tape the 3-d items in different places on your sheet of colors. This will give your art piece some depth even when it becomes squished against the clear plastic of your binder.

  7. Step 7

Carefully slide the sheet of colors into your binder and Viola! a tribute to your favorite color!

Tips & Warnings
  • To make your binder really stand out choose a very bright color to showcase, think red or yellow.
