Things You'll Need:
- eyeshadow & applicators
- makeup brushes
- a little time
-
Step 1
~Eyeliner~
When wanting to wear natural makeup, you may want to forgo eyeliner all together. But if not chose a light brown or gray shade but not black! A lighter shade will blend in easier, and not stand out as much. This is a good idea for a special occasion. Apply eyeliner first (on the top lid only) from the inner rim of the eye to outer rim as close to the lash line as you can get. Preferably use pencil, liquid is a little too heavy. -
Step 2
~Eyeshadow~
When wanting to wear natural eye makeup always pick a powder over a cream eyeshadow. It looks softer and more natural. For eyeshadows chose light shimery colors like: a light brown, a light pink or even a light green. These colors will help make your eyes standout a little. With a small brush or applicator sweep the eyeshadow across the eyelids and into the crease. You want to do this one to two times. -
Step 3
~Mascara~
Even if you don't wear any other makeup you should always wear mascara. Just one coat of mascara will help brighten up your eyes. This makes them stand out, without being over the top. For mascara chose a shade like a light black or brown color and sweep up the eyelashes from the base to the tip. -
Step 4
~Concealer and foundation~
Concealer doesn't have to be caked on to provide great coverage. When chosing a concealer get one that is liquid because they provide sheer coverage. Just apply concealer where you have problem areas are(under the eye, bumps, etc.). If you want to wear makeup naturally a lot of people just forgo foundation. However there are some new products out that give you coverage without being cakey. You might looking for a tinted moisturizer. This product is a moisturizer with just a little tint of foundation, and it usually has an SPF in it. Just apply with your fingers or makeup sponge. You could also try the new mineral powders. Most makeup companies now have their own kind. These are powders that cover like a foundation without being sticky or caked on. Find the right shade for you and apply with a round brush. -
Step 5
~Cheeks~
This is step which most people forget about when putting on makeup especially if you are in a hurry. For natural looking color pick a light pink or a light rosy color. Again, you want to get blush in a powder instead of a creme for light coverage. Just apply with a round brush on the apples of your cheeks, then sweep up and out under your eyes towards the sides of your face.
