How to Cover Up Acne and Scars
When you have an acne break-out or scars left behind due to one, it takes a little extra attention to effectively cover up the area with makeup. Concealer, foundation and a translucent powder are your best allies in concealing the scars and unsightly pimples so your face looks clear. Does this Spark an idea?

Use a firm brush to apply concealer and foundation to a pimple or scar. Since shine tends to be accentuated on a raised surface, use the following trick to camouflage the area. On the top of the pimple or scar, use a concealer or foundation that is slightly darker then your skin tone. Then, on the bottom of the pimple or scar, use use a concealer and foundation that is slightly lighter then your skin tone.

Use a small amount of concealer to fill each pit, which is a scar left behind from a pimple. Since pits tend to go in, they need to be filled in to help even out your skin. Fill them in with a dense concealer or foundation the same color as your skin tone.

Lastly, dust your entire face with a translucent powder. Then apply the rest of your makeup, including eyeshadow and lipstick.

Tips & Warnings
Just use the minimum amount of makeup needed to conceal the acne and scarring. Too much makeup can make you look older and your skin worse.
